What makes Stuben am Arlberg ski school so special?

We are one of the oldest schools of skiing in the Arlberg.
With a unique team and the decades-long experience, we offer the expertise for a rapid learning success.
We have live witnessed the development of ski technique, by the rotation technique on the fronds to the modern ski - and Freeridetechnique. In addition to the technology and the equipment - the spectrum has changed. You another one belonging to a few wild, moving away from the slopes, this was 50 years ago now it is a fixed part of the Arlberg.
We give you the balancing act between the modern lines, since we have the knowledge on how to move in the alpine terrain and to the "Rules of the game" of nature. Our Office is located directly in the Centre of Stuben. Across from the Hotel Mondschein or next to the grocery store.
We are in a common space with a ski rental where you can rent also skis, boots and poles.

Do you teach various levels?

We offer courses from beginner up to the top skiers. Snowboard always on request. On their first day they are divided according to their skills, which you share with us.

What should we bring to the ski lessons?

Good mood
A complete ski equipment
Furthermore, we recommend warm clothing, gloves, Sun cream, a helmet for children until 16 years duty.
Ski pass you can receive directly by us in the Office, but is not included in the course price.

Is the ski pass in the price included?

The lift passes are not included in the course price, but you can purchase them by us in the Office.

Need beginner also a ski pass?

Basically yes. On the first day, normally no lift pass is needed for the beginner. The competent teachers will advise you, depending on the progress, about buying a lift pass. There are also cards for beginners. It takes an advance reservation information and prices see www.skiarlberg.at for group courses.
Generally, we recommend early registration through our online booking.
In the group courses is usually ever a place. During school holidays, there are bottlenecks.

Does it require a reservation for group courses?

Do you have also foreign ski instructors?

We have an experienced team in our ski school. All teachers speak German and English.
On request, other languages can be considered if it is a privat lesson.

Do you get the money back if the course was not like expected?

Basically to get back the money only for a medical certificate (disease, injury). However, there are several offers (day passes, extensions from the third day,...) to keep the ‚risk’ as minimal as possible for you. Should it still not work, we will settle only the produced achievement.

What is in the case of an accident?

The course tickets are personal and not transferable. Used tickets will be refunded pro rata.
For accidents, the ski school offices assumes no liability.

Can I pay at the ski school office with map?

Yes it is the EC  - Card, Visa, MasterCard

Questions about children's courses?

At what age can children go in the ski course?

our recommendation from 4 years old can take part in our full-day courses (4 hours). There are no half-day courses for group courses, half day children can no longer follow the full day children and need to be downgraded may need a private tutor.
The courses take always from 10-12Uhr then is dinner, where you need around €18, because this is not included in the rate card, and then it goes on and around 15:30 you should pick up again the children.
There are also exceptions where you, however, get experienced early enough by the teachre.

Can our children be together in a group?

The classification of the children first and foremost according to the driving skills. Should your children or friends approximately equal to good skiing, we ask you to tell us their desire during the division on the first day, and we will try our best. Should the children not be on the same level, must take the better on the weaker consideration.

Where can we pick up our child?

In principle, the meeting point is also the pick up point.

Where is the meeting and pick-up point?

This is our meeting place which is coming on the Babylift, entering Germany on the left side. Coming from Tyrol he is on the right side.

If the children do not like it, do we get back the money?

Does it comes timewise, when parents and children book a ski course?

This is tuned in such a way that children and parents can attend a course. Their children can be submitted between 9.30 - 9.45. Children are always as long as the parents here at the latest 15.40 pm meeting-point.

How does the divison works?

Basically, you will find the layout of the levels on our homepage. You should notify us at registration and so the children are divided. If a division once does not fit 100%, it is of course possible to change the group.

Are there also half day courses?

Is it also possible to book an instructor for a group course?

In principle, it is possible. However, we ask you as early as possible with us via mail to announce this request. We can give you no guarantee that we can comply with the request.

Does the ski course have to be taken in a row?

The days have to follow each other as the group with the teaching program further makes and learns something new every day.

How early should we book a private tutor?

For organisational reasons, we ask the tutor to make reservation in time. All the sooner, the better! In the short term, you can gladly make a telephone reservation.

What is in bad weather?

The course will take place in all weather conditions.
Conditions is that the lifts in operation.
Private lessons are also carried in all weathers, reserved hours can not be rebooked

How many children are in the Group?

If everything goes according to plan, 8 children in the group are maximum. It can also even be that a teacher is ill or something.

Can you get even during the week into a group course?

Basically, the group divisions take place on Sunday and Monday. Advanced entry in the group is daily possible. Provided fits the level and there is a group.

Are the rates different, ifo ne books 3 days of a course and lather on 2 days in addition?

YES. From a course duration of 3 days, there is the possibility of extra days. It is a little more expensive than if you just book a 5 or 6 day course.
